Hey, I admit that I'm probably not typical, but in my case: speed. I've
got a set of files that I want to keep in synch between home & work; using
good old DOS .BAT files, I can copy the new/changed versions up to a
floppy at one location & then copy them back down at the other. So far,
they all fit comfortably on one floppy.

Sure, I could also email them, but then I'd have to create the email,
select the files (they're in different places), etc. Then at the other end
I'd have to open the email & save the attachments. I know - no big deal,
really, but my copy routines take a minute or two at most (and I can do
something else while they're running), and each one is just a double-click
on an icon. I don't think I can beat that for simplicity or speed.

Of course, nothing lasts forever (except the iSeries :), so I expect that
someday I'll have to work out some other way. But it's kind of
interesting to note that now that I have a writeable CD at home I have no
use at all for my ZIP drive (I used to use that for backups), but my 3.5"
disks are still pretty handy. . . .
