Hi Manoj,

he he he maybe you have to copy first and then delete and the last copy
again to your directory .. like this:

MOV OBJ('/QIBM/DIR1/file2') TODIR('/TMP/') TOOBJ(file2)
RMVLNK OBJLNK('/QIBM/DIR1/*)
MOV OBJ('/TMP/file2') TODIR('/QIBM/DIR1') TOOBJ(file2)

done ... and you can either hardcoded file2 name or can give it to
parameter/variable

for a lot of files ,you can loop the first MOV until all of your files
that you don't want to delete move to /tmp directory or any other
directory.
than move all object in /tmp directory to the source directory ....

thats'all .. hope can help

Best Regards,
Fery

Subject
Deletion of files in IFS /root

Hi All,
I need to delete all files within the /QIBM/DIR1 other than one specific
file the name of which I know. How can I do this programmatically (CL or
RPG).
For Example within DIR1 we have say 3 files file1, file 2, & file3. I need
to retain File2 and delete the rest.

Thanks & Regard
Manoj
