There are a LOT of factors that influence the time that a complete restore takes. The simple ones are:

- Amount of data to be restored
- Speed of tape drive (& need to retension tape in some drives)
- Processor speed
- Index rebuild settings for logical files, etc.

This is why EVERY server (iSeries, xSeries, etc.) that my company runs or recommends has either mirroring or Raid5 for storage protection. YOU DON'T WANT TO EVER HAVE TO RESTORE EVERYTHING other than as a result of a significant disaster!
