If you are doing an AS400 CL or command line FTP to the pc, the pc must be running a FTP Server program (which is not on most Windows desktops). However, Windows does provide a free FTP "client", and from the pc command prompt (or other software like WS-FTP) can get the file from the AS400. AS/400 can be either client or server. Standard pc desktop is client only. Start the ftp from the pc and it should work. jim ----- Original Message ----- From: <jcorey@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, May 20, 2003 1:03 PM Subject: Re: FTP > > Vern: > > What they ultimately want to do is use FTP to transfer AS/400 data/programs > to a PC, burn a CD, and then load/execute that code on another AS/400.
