DDM files and database Trigger program

On our local server we have a physical file with two triggers defined;
        One on Change,
        The other on Insert.

On a remote server we have a DDM link via TCP/ip defined to the file on the 
local server.

The problem is when we change or insert on the remote server, the Trigger 
program doesn't fire up!!

Does anyone have any suggestions?
