>From: James W. Kilgore [mailto:email@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] >Wouldn't it mean that if it runs under Linux it runs on the iSeries? 'fraid not. While I don't have the readme for the actual Linux install of the XML extenders I quote from the install.txt for FixPack9 of the XML Extenders for Linux: Operating System - (Intel only) Linux kernel 2.2.12 or higher, glibc 2.1.2 or higher, libstdc++ 2.9.0 Note the "Intel Only" part. Something often overlooked in the iSeries implementation of Linux is that the iSeries is Power4 based while the majority of Linux software in the world is targeted at the Intel platform. -Walden PS. However, as has been pointed out, there is an iSeries-native version too. ------------ Walden H Leverich III President Tech Software (516) 627-3800 x11 (208) 692-3308 eFax WaldenL@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.TechSoftInc.com Quiquid latine dictum sit altum viditur. (Whatever is said in Latin seems profound.)
