This command-line (all one line) works for me:

tn5250 env.USER=KLEMSCOT env.IBMSUBSPW=PASSWD env.IBMCURLIB=MYLIB
env.IBMIMENU=MAIN env.IBMPROGRAM=MYPGM ssl:as400.example.com
