Sounds like the underlying theme here is "how to detect DASD spikes"? My company has a tool disk/Hunter that runs 24/7 and uses PEX collection tool to figure this out and report it to the DBA. I don't know all of the product details so for more info see http://www.centerfieldtechnology.com/tools/diskhunter.asp or email jdahl@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Elvis ==== ORIGINAL MESSAGE === What it doesn't report is large files generated in QTEMP (by query, SQL etc) that I haven't found a way of identifying yet. Another thing to look at might be abnormal numbers or excessive size of spool files. Just prior to a V5R1 upgrade on one of our machines a Domino job started spitting out 2000+ page error reports at the rate of 1 or two a minute. Over the day (before we spotted it) it had taken around 10% of the DASD.
