Mike, Are you sure your setting in the system values is correct (qstruppgm) And I would check to make sure the object exists too - Who is the owner - do they have enough authority to run the job(s) you want to run during start-up? See if you have any logs after the IPL which may explain anything if these are not any of your issues. Typically putting the modified script in qsys is not advisable, but that should be ok as long as your system values are correct. HTH Mark A. But now my startup script doesn't seem to be running properly. I know QSTRUP is the CL that starts everything. I added a line to do a submit job for our custom startup, but it never seems to run. The custom startup is in QGPL. Could it be that the library list isn't set up properly? That is my only thought on why it isn't working right now. The modified script is in QSYS. _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo.cgi/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
