The other point to consider is what machine is controlling the spool queue for the printer. If the Outlook and the AS/400 are all dumping to the Netware spool queue, than Netware will keep things organized and functional. Chances are though, both Outlook and the 400 are printing direct and Outlook is interrupting the AS/400's printing stream. LPD/LPR is not good with this. If possible, direct all network printing to a spool queue. That way the printer servers can do their job.
