I know it ain't gonna be greased lightning, but this is a one-time sort
of the client's mailing list file (with no field-sequence requirements
from us) that must end up in a PF to be read by the next program, so
your advice, while quite good, doesn't apply in this situation. I've
done the sort of thing you're talking about with a data warehouse
drill-down tool I wrote at a previous job, though :)
