× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Zak - to give you an example, I have a web application where users can
search 2 million
records. The have 10 different search fields, and can enter any combination.
I was able to learn from the users what their "normal method" of searching
was, and built 8 logicals based on "most used" searches. (These are property
record searches by names or addresses or other stuff). An RPGSQL prepares
and executes the select, and orders the fields in an order matching the
logicals. So instead of 2 minute searches we get 2 second searches on a tiny
S10 server. If you need a sample of the rpgsql send me an offline note.
If you don't build the logicals, you will always have long selection time.
