        I tend to agree. I live outside of Toronto Canada, and excluding the 
recent SARS scare (which is about to be lifted)
trips to the US tend to be very expensive.Up that room rate by 30%, and that's 
what we pay Canadian.
        I don't want to sound like a Hotel salesman here, but straight 
economics point out that COMMON could do very well
keeping it's conference up here..

Ken: You'll be happy to know that the Fall 2004 conference is planned for Toronto. The last time it was held in Toronto was in the late 1980's. Many of us at the Toronto Lab took advantage of one-day passes to the conference, and hopefully, we'll have a similar arrangement at the next Toronto conference.
