Product libraries are a part of command and menu definitions. The idea is, when you use a product, its library is put into your library list, ahead of the current library and your user libraries. The API lets you put in 2 of them, commands and menus put any the product libraries on some kind of stack (at least, that's how I perceive it).

I'm of the belief that best practice for any vendor is to use PRDLIB on their commands and menus. BTW, you can also specify the current library this way.

hey all,

can anyone give me the idea behind the PRD library list entries?
for instance:

is this something that could/should be messed with?

what commands are used to change this? (chglibl doesn't change it, but the
QLICHGLL API does).

who or what changes this? IBM? other third party vendors?

any other ramifications of messing with these libraries?

The only thing I've noticed for sure is that STRPDM changes one of them to
QPDA.
