Mark--

We handled the same problem by adding a routing program to all of our interactive subsystems. It basically says, "If your job name begins with 'RF', TFRJOB to the jobq for the RFSBS." This has handled it for us.

The program we use is a monster we've used as the routing program for all interactive users for years-- it places their message queue in *BREAK mode (-except- for RF users with their teensy-weensy screens), and a host of other odds 'n' ends.

Ken--

Does the WSE for QINTER devices RF* AT(*ENTER) prevent QINTER from grabbing the RF* devices in all cases? Does it depend on the order the subsystems are started?

Hi Mark -

Copied source for QDSIGNON to RFSIGNON and modified as needed
Created SBS RFSBS made it the signon screen for RFSBS
In RFSbS added work station entry name of RF*
No work station type entries in RFSBS
No work station name entries in QINTER
Work station type entries of *CONS and *ALL in Qinter
modified QSTRUP to start sbs RFSBS before Qinter

You're missing one part. QINTER can still end up acquiring your RF* devices.

You need to add a workstation name entry to QINTER for RF* with AT(*ENTER). This will prohibit QINTER from acquiring the device to present a signon screen.
