Richard, you've already gotten spome excellent responses, but I just wanted
to note that the first time I managed to get this type of statement to work
was the first time I said to myself that this SQL thing might just be useful
<grin>.

Seriously, up until then I'd been looking at it as primarily another OPNQRYF
syntax, and frankly I thought OPNQRYF was just fine (and in fact it still
shines for certain types of applications).  But once I saw the updating that
could be done, then I started thinking of a lot of potential uses.  This
sort of set-based processing (especially ad hoc stuff) is exactly the kind
of thing SQL is fantastic at.

Not so fantastic on record-at-a-time, but we all know my feelings on that
<smile>.
