Don't sweat the conversion estimate, unless you're some time critical 24x7 
shop.  There are so many caveats in there to protect IBM's fanny that you 
may not find a use for it.

Does anyone remember if these ptf's were accurate for them?  And was the 
time estimation long enough that they had to alter their upgrade plans?

Again, NO such animal!! 

IBM is making this a real pain!!!

I know its been a year or two since I had to do a release upgrade but I
NEVER remember it being this difficult in planning!

The CD is labelled "iSeries Installation Estimation PTFs for V4R4 & V4R5
Software"  The PTF's are only used to estimate the time required for
object conversion when upgrading from a V4 release to a V5 release.
