Hi,
There is also an alternative solution to Op for the LPAR box, which does not
give you everything you may have with Op, but it works well and it is an
embedded solution. If you are interested in it just go to TwinData.com web
site.

Well, we have OpsConsole (direct connect) on our 820, and we made it a point
to order our 810 with twinax console!

During several cums and other install stuff, OpsConsole failed on us. We had
to work
hard on the system panel (there are some service functions) to get the
console online
again.

Hey, scratch install of system (disaster recovery), after 24 hours of
working, we do a
rstcfg. After 45 minutes, we find that the console has disconnected -
another IPL needed.

OpsConsole is fine 99.9% of the time, but Murphy has his roll with the last
.1%.

If you need to remote control the system, OpsConsole is the way to go. But
if you can do
without, I'll always take one of my 10+years old twinax displays!

Regards,

Oliver
