Actually there is a properties box under Client Access that says where to
get updates from. We have ours get it from an NT server. But, we
download the fixes for iSeries access more often than we IPL our iSeries.

Can you be more specific in the "point to the V5R1 machine for the
source of your Client Access
installs"? Do you mean that the Source Directory should be pointed to
a folder on the IFS?

Do you know if there is a way to do this automatically on install?

Thanks.

You should be able to go to Client Access Properties, to the Service
tab,
and point to the V5R1 machine for the source of your Client Access
installs. Then do a Check Service Level and follow your nose. It should

upgrade your PC.
