I have problems across the board with 10K RPM drives, not limited to IBM.
We just have to learn to lower our expectations for individual disk
reliability and realize that our disk protection methods have much more
meaning these days.  I think this is why we're seeing disk arrays with hot
spares built in to the configuration.
