Ted, I posted the same question out here a while ago. You might try an archive search. AFAIK, the deal is that you don't (can't) format it to *FMT7GB. You use a *FMT5GB with a 160m tape instead of 112m. It can read 7GB formatted tapes, but will only init to 5GB (*FMT5GB). I don't have the manual for this and have been having a hard time finding specs on the net.
