Anything you want, but you are limited to 4 characters for password (I believe A-Z, 0-9, @#$) and I believe userid was 8 characters (no longer have access to a S/36 signon to check). Where can SSP 5.1 diskettes be found ? Some pack rats garage or basement, the local garbage dump, the trunk of Bill Gates car, the museum in Rochester MN, who knows ! ;-) Ask if anyone on the list has any available. We junked ours just about a year ago. ...Neil "Ron Balonier" <balonier@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx To: "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> cc: Subject: Re: S/36, 5362 No User ID or Password Thanks for the info. Can the id and password be any combination of letters and numbers or does it have to be like HELP, QSECOFR, SECOFR, etc. I have the SSP diskettes but they are over-written with PTF's. Where can SSP 5.1 (5727-SSP) diskettes be found? Ron > Depends what was set up by whoever configured security on it. There were > no default profiles passwords provided as on AS/400.
