On the front of the machine you will have to change it from 01BM to 01BN

The 01 means which rack is it.  We have 8, all have that little window. 
Only 1 has the BN part.

M = Manual IPL
N = Normal IPL

Can you figure out how to change that?  If not, we have a couple of 270's 
and I can document the steps.

I have inherited a 9406-270 with a PC console that does not come up to the
sign on screen after an IPL. After an IPL it shows a screen with some
options - install operating system, ipl, etc. 
The system led displays 01 BM V=F. 
How can I get it to IPL like a normal machine, coming up with a sign on
screen?
