Chester, Your original request was: "I have a need in a CL program to capture the complete command that was entered to execute the CL program." I take this to mean that you have a command "X" that has a CPP "Y". When the CPP program "Y" starts you want to know what the original keywords were for command "X". Assuming I am understanding correctly, you don't really need an F9 Retrieval method to do this. Why don't you simply reconstruct the appropriate options using the PARM values that you CLP has at the start? Since the command keywords become your CPP's parameters, you have everything you need.
