Thanks for the comments on IPSec etc Simon - guess I do need Pro or 2K. >> Are you sure you can't order a laptop with W2K? I know you can't buy W2K as a retail product but it is still available to OEM systems. As to the other comments. I _can_ get a system with W2K or Pro - just not any of the ones I want! IBM for some idiotic reason are restricting the models sold in Canada and the result is that I can get what I want _with_ W2K or Pro but only at the expense of tossing the DVD and buying a separate combo drive. The other system I'm looking at (Sony) only comes with Home in Canada despite the fact that it is a heavy duty graphics machine with a large screen that is not a home system by any stretch of the imagination. Buying in the US is an option - but duties etc. raise the price significantly. PS. You can buy W2K at retail - seems to be one of the results of the MS lawsuits. MS won't ship any more I suspect - but stores that have it appear now to be able to sell it without incurring the "Wrath of Bill" - same goes for '98 and I've even seen copies of (gag) Me.
