Will the windows name of the PC work instead of the IP address? But, then again, knowing the iseries you might have to put apostrophes around the IP address. For example, on a command line in a PC you can ping 10.10.1.1 but on a 5250 command line you have to ping '10.10.1.1' Rob Berendt -- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." I'm having a few problems... I did the wrklnk, and then I entered this command CRTDIR DIR('/QNTC/333.20.21.95/') The iseries doesn't have a external DNS, so I just put in the PC's IP... Is that ok? But when I try to do a '5' and enter that link I get... dspjoblog Session initialization error with Network Server 333.20.21.95. Session initialization error with Network Server 333.20.21.95.
