I would recommend it. As in any language conversion tool, there is no 100%. If your goal is to crunch a lot of code thru, and have it executable on the other side, it works well. With all the variations in ocl36 and rpg36 it does a good job. If you have been a native coder for a while, you will want to make the conversion a "starting point". if need more - contact me offline jim franz ----- Original Message ----- From: <JOberholtzer@compures.com> To: <midrange-l@midrange.com> Sent: Thursday, February 06, 2003 11:53 AM Subject: Target/400 Question > Can make recommendations regarding the usefulness of Target/400 ( http:// > www.epi-software.com ) for converting from S36 to DB/400 (programs and > files)? > > Jim Oberholtzer > Senior Technical Architect > Computech Resources, Inc. > > IBM /I-B-M/ > Once upon a time, the computer company most hackers loved to hate; today, > the one they are most puzzled to find themselves liking. > From: www.tuxedo.org > > > > _______________________________________________ > This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list > To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l > or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l. > >
