I don't know if you can change the level id, (you might try the MI group). The time stamp is associated with the compile date, not the creation date. but if you can lock the file long enough to copy the data, delete and move the new objects, try this: 1. restore a copy of the file from system a to system b, with all associated logicals to a test library. 2. lock the system b production file. 3. copy data from production file to the copy in the test file. 4. rename (or delete, after unlocking?) production files and associated logicals 5. move new file and logicals from test lib to prod lib. hth, rick hth, rick
