We were working recently with a possibly similar problem. We use Intel Netport and Lexmark Marknet print servers to give our laser printers network connectivity. We are using *LAN attached print devices on the 400 instead of remote output queues though. We had a number of spool files stuck in SND status, and when we held the spool file and released they went through fine. A technician here changed the print server to use bi-directional communication over the parallel port, and the problem apparently went away. > From: "Lou Schmaus" <lschmaus@link400.com> > Subject: remote outq problem > > For some reason, their remote outq's just "go to sleep" for hours at a time. > The spool files have a status of 'SND', but nothing prints.
