The only thing I can think of is that using the CHGINPDFT keyword, Indicators 32 and 45 need to be explicitly set off in order for the DSPATR(UL) to be active. This non-protected. It's protected on the screen using the above DDS. And, yes, I recompiled both the DDS and the pgm, and yes, I'm looking at the correct version, and yes, I even sign off and back on (multiple times) to ensure that the activation-group thing isn't causing me to use the old copies.
