I don't know where to look up these ftp codes.  I think there was 
something in the archives on this.

Anything in the ftp job logs?

what's going on here:

ftp> cd qgpl
250 "QGPL" is current library.
ftp> binary
200 Representation type is binary IMAGE.
ftp> put save.sav qgpl/save
200 PORT subcommand request successful.
150 Sending file to member SAVE in file SAVE in library QGPL.
426-Cannot write to member SAVE in file SAVE in library QGPL.
426 Data transfer ended.

I'm SECOFR and there should be no permission problem.
SAVE is a valid save file
