The best I can read from this is that I'm supposed to install the > Database and HIPER groups prior to the cume, then the cume, then the other > groups. NOt only that, I should IPL after the cume install. > > 1. Database/HIPER > 2. Cume > 3. (IPL) > 4. Other groups (Java, HTTP, etc.) > 5. (IPL) > > What do you all think? NEVER read the manual. Listen to the people on the list. NEVER read the manual. Listen to the people on the list. NEVER read the manual. Listen to the people on the list. I think I just killed my machine. I applied the database/HIPER (497 fixes) and the cume (55 BIG fixes). Database/hiper went fine, and cume loaded fine, but when it was setting the apply flasg, I got a LINK/LOADER error. LINK LOADER ENDED ABNORMALLY, RCffff, qualifier X'0000000000040000'. The good news is I THINK this is a staging error, not a link/loader full error. I will find out after the IPL. If it's a link/loader full, I think I'm hosed. The ongoing saga, man. Joe
