Folks, let me know if I should be taking this offline.

First, some rah-rah on each of them. Maybe even titled "Well, I paid for
Sametime, now what is it?"
I see there is a session on implementing Sametime into your website, and
that is a good idea.

I think there is a session on managing a project using Lotus Notes. How's
about the same for Quickplace?

How to set up and run TSM.
And, How to manage TSM. Like, how do I start it and stop it outside of
TSM. I want to be able to stop it and start it from a nightly CL program.
Also, I want to know what directories it uses to store data so that I can
save those outside of TSM. And, since they are backed up this way, not
resave them when I do a complete save. My business case is that the old
tsm used a library. Backing that up (approx 1.5tb data) took two 3580's
taking turns with objects in that library. And each 3580 takes 5 tapes.
So my SAVLIB *NONSYS omits the library containing that. How do I omit
this with the new TSM?

That's a start.

And some BRMS courses in which you can actually go back to the office and
get started. Granted, it's been a few years since I went to COMMON but at
that time the speaker gave a good overview of what it did and how it can
ease restores, but not a let's roll up our sleeves and get cracking.

<snip>
Nice feature too bad it won't print without chopping off the right.
With the new announcements I feel there is a crying need for several new
classes:
QuickPlace
Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM)
More Sametime
</snip>

Rob,
With regard to the COMMON grids, if you set your printer for landscape, it
works fine. (at least on my IBM printer and Xerox printers)

Regarding the classes at COMMON for Quickplace, TSM, and Sametime, what
would you like to see? I am one of the COMMON SME (performance in my
case)
and would be happy to discuss the topics with the correct folks in the
Conference Education Team that handle those topics. What I need is
specific topics if you have any, level of expertise it would need to be
presented at, and some kind of an idea about the environment you would
like
to create.

It is too late to do much with Indy in March, but I know that IBM has
stepped up with some changes, although I don't know how extensive they
are.
I am right now focusing on the fall conference.
