Rick, This is awesome stuff, isn't it? I'm working on a project he= re at a client where we're doing the exact same stuff, plus I'm conv= erting to SEQUEL reports all of the JDE sales analysis reports that somebod= y has to remember to run, and automating them to run each night in t= he scheduler. They are converted to PDF by SEQUEL and emailed to the= recipients. As someone else mentioned, to do ad-hoc stuff, you need to be familiar w ith the database and joining files, etc. We have a couple of power= users that can do this Sequel and ViewPoint. We tell them what fi= les they need and how to join them, they do their own selection and sort= ing, etc. FYI is pretty cool= . I created a non-normalized file containing the orders, sales, an= d backlogs for the last 3 years, downloaded it to FYI, and gave it to th= e VP of Sales and Marketing. Using drag and drop, they can view and<B= R>print the data any way they can imagine. Since the data is on the P= C, they can take it with them on the road. The file is updated eac= h night with that days transactions, and with a click of a button and ty= pe a password, their file on their PC is up-to-date. This cut abou= t 90% of the requests for reports from them.
