(apologies if already mentioned) Have you looked at tcp port restrictions? (shutting off selected ports) CFGTCP 4. Work with TCP/IP port restrictions also, in your service table entries, make sure 8475 still used for rmtcmd 21. Configure related tables 1. Work with service table entries as-rmtcmd 8475 tcp (and i don't think there can be 2 different services on same port? remember each port can have 2 entries, tcp and udp. hth jim franz ----- Original Message ----- From: "Scott Mclaggan" <bigmansmac@yahoo.co.uk> To: <midrange-l@midrange.com> Sent: Friday, January 17, 2003 5:20 AM Subject: TCP Port 8475 not starting > Problems with port 8475 not starting when TCP or when > *all host servers are started. > Changed tcp attributes, ended host servers, ended TCP. > Restarted TCP, monitoring using nestat *cnn command, > the problematic port 8475 came up briefly for few > seconds then disappeared again. > I have searched through error logs, joblogs, message > queues etc. looking for an error but cannot find > anything > The only possible clues I can find are in the Licensed > Internal Code log; > There are about 10 entries at the time concerned. > > Major description - Tolerance > Major code - 0400 > Minor code - 000 > > The detail is all in hex, so I'm looking for a bit of > guidance. > > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Everything you'll ever need on one web page > from News and Sport to Email and Music Charts > http://uk.my.yahoo.com > _______________________________________________ > This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list > To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo.cgi/midrange-l > or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l. > >
