Re: LPAR weekend

Got 2 of the 4 partitions done.  Ran out of time on the other two. 
Actually, they can wait 8 weeks until the next scheduled downtime.

When we were moving drives around several kept coming up failed, non 
reporting, non located, etc.  Finally resolved it by turning parity off on 
not just that parity set but the whole IOA.  This seemed to do the trick. 
Talked to someone at IBM today and that is what they recommend during this 
kind of operation.

Seems like I had a little problem with outbound mail when our primary smtp 
server was down, but now have that fixed...  That is why I didn't give 
more 'blow-by-blow'.

Thought of joining the chat instead of playing freecell.  Asked the boss 
if I could load AOL IM to participate.  He threatened me with death.  Said 
I could, if I can get Sametime to join this group, though.
