This printer has "many" models(15-20) and can be attached at least a six different ways to the AS/400. You really need to figure which flavor.... The model is usually on a tag on the lower back of the unit. It is also stored in the firmware and can be printed out. The printer manual can be found here: http://www.printers.ibm.com/R5PSC.NSF/Web/manuals here is the label containing the model: http://www.printers.ibm.com/R5PSC.NSF/Web/serialindustrial Just for starters, how is it attached ??? Twinax or through a terminal port, or through a pc ??? I just checked a few models and all that I could determine, all models support 12cpi..... Exactly what error are you getting ??? Are you running in a S/36EE using OCL or native using clp ??? Booth Martin wrote: > The printer is a IBM Model 6400. Obviously I know almost nothing about > printers.
