Jerry - IMHO, the best way to move your config is with the SAVCFG and RSTCFG commands. Just remember to use the SRM(*NONE) and ALWOBJDIF(*ALL) parameters on the restore config since you are restoring to a different machine. If this new system doesn't have any users on it you can use RSTUSRPRF USRPRF(*ALL) ALWOBJDIF(*ALL). This will overwrite any duplicate profiles. I have not tested this, but I believe that if you use ALWOBJDIF(*NONE) it will only restore profiles that do not exist on the new system. If you try to restore user profiles individually the password will be set to *NONE. If you do not have *ALLOBJ authority, that authority will be stripped from profiles that you restore. Autoconfig just won't do the job. I ran RTVCFGSRC with the plan to move it from one sys to the other but there are NO development tools on either AS400. I also need to move the user profiles ditto. Anyone faced this? TIA, Jerry
