Tony & Carsten I'm on vacation so this is fun. I just looked at a dump of a command before changing it (thanks, Carsten, for that tip) and after changing a default. The changed default value appears near the end of the dump, so it appears that the original is stored, with changes as well. And there appears to be an array of special and single and default values that is probably referenced in the individual parameters. If one knows the template for commands, the original defaults can probably be determined. I'm going to dig a little more. Happy New Year! Vern At 07:58 PM 12/30/02 +0100, you wrote:
Hello Tony, You can find all system commands having had one or more defaults changed by running the following command: DSPOBJD OBJ(QSYS/*ALL) OBJTYPE(*CMD) OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILE(<filename>) - and then, using query or sql, select all records in <filename> with an Apar Id (field ODAPAR) equal 'CHGDFT'. Exactly which defaults were changed I don't think there's an easy way to find out.
