This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Antonio, I can assume a few things but perhaps you could supply a bit more information. I am assuming that when you reference the printers as NET you are talking about printers attached via your LAN (ETH or TRN). Can you clarify the printers configuration by including a copy of the DEVD? These printers run out of forms and you don't receive any inquiry message on the AS/400? Check the parameter PRTERRMSG on the printer and make sure it is set to *INQ. Here is an example of one of our lan attached printers (IBM 4320): Device description . . . . . . . > TESTPRINT Device class . . . . . . . . . . > *LAN Device type . . . . . . . . . . > *IPDS Device model . . . . . . . . . . > 0 LAN attachment . . . . . . . . . > *IP Advanced function printing . . . > *YES Port number . . . . . . . . . . > 5001 Online at IPL . . . . . . . . . > *YES Font: Identifier . . . . . . . . . . > 011 Point size . . . . . . . . . . > *NONE Form feed . . . . . . . . . . . > *AUTOCUT Separator drawer . . . . . . . . > *FILE Separator program . . . . . . . *NONE Library . . . . . . . . . . . Some of them are NET printers, i.e. having their own IP address, not running under ClientAccess or the like. We are NOT using Remote Outq's. We rather have these Net Printers defined as normal CRTDEVPRT devices. A typical case is for an IBM INFOPRINT12 Everything works right, except ... When any printer runs out of forms, a message is usually sent to either QSYSOPR or any other queue which has been defined for that purpose. This works as expected for normal printers, but NOT for these Net printers. How could we get a message being sent to some queue when any of these printer run out of forms? Are we missing something ? Just in case it makes any difference, we're running V4R5. TIA ------------------------- Antonio Fernandez-Vicenti afvaiv@wanadoo.es
