I wanted to see if they would respond, first.

And I did get a response from the vendor being VERY apologetic.  He claims
bad faith on the part of a list broker, as well as promising to check any
future lists a little more closely.  If the mail stops, I'm not going to
mention the name (although if you're really curious you might check some of
David's archives to see if anybody else mentions this sort of thing).
