This includes HP/UX, among others. OS/400 is the best OS I've found for business applications. OS/2 was the best desktop platform I ever worked on. In it's day, TRS-DOS was pretty good. EDX kicked some serious butt. I wrote one or two that were OK as well. The Unix variants all did great at handling text in one form or another (which includes web serving), the Macintosh has always been very easy to use, and Windows is the best games platform. Windows is also excellent for desktop publishing and web design, but the Mac is better for MIDI composition and full motion video. But at the end of the day, I want my mission critical data stored on and served from an AS/400. Joe
