Not doomed...just that the job market much smaller...and of course, the Mercedes mechanic will probably be paid more than the GM mechanic - I don't know if the same is true for the iSeries professional.

I bet the same logic would show that the Mercedes-Benz automobile is doomed. Frankly I am astounded that the ratio was 32/106. Asked to guess I would have guessed at 10 of 100 or even less. --------------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.MartinVT.com Booth@MartinVT.com --------------------------------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: midrange-l@midrange.com Date: Monday, December 16, 2002 11:39:04 AM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: RE: Lower End AS/400s This probably has no meaning to the experts, but I thought it was interesting. Did a monster.com search on java in Michigan - 106 hits. One looked like it might be java and as/400. Did a monster.com search on iseries or AS/400 or as400 in Michigan - 32 hits. So, unscientific as this is, it seems to me there are more java jobs than as/400-anything jobs. _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
