Joe, I couldn't agree more. At a recent interview, I was struck dumb on being asked "What are the AS/400's bad points ?" I came out with something about it not being a truly relational DB, really caught me on the hop. And yes, they expected the answer: up-front hardware costs. Because "If a server breaks you can buy another" Talk about built-in obsolescence. But should they invest in committed staff or staff who should be committed ?
