Actually follow-up stories are saying that IBM is dropping the printed materials and shrink-wrapped packaging. There will be no more retail store sales from IBM. The last that I knew OS/2 was selling above plan and was a profitable piece of IBM's product mix. It sure would be nice to get off the MS hamster wheel. IT managers with MS products must feel like fools when they walk into their budget meetings and request 7+% of company revenues. --------------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.MartinVT.com Booth@MartinVT.com --------------------------------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: midrange-l@midrange.com Date: Friday, December 13, 2002 08:34:47 AM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: OT: OS/2 is FINALLY History (per IBM) :-( This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] It's official, IBM dumps OS/2. http://www.ibmlink.ibm.com/usalets <http://www.ibmlink.ibm.com/usalets&parms=H_902-274> &parms=H_902-274 What COULD have been.
