I found it on IBM's website - it's: CALL PGM(QSPENDWA) PARM(writer-name).
And it worked.

I've been racking my brains to try to remember this program.

Do NOT try ending the spooling subsystem.  Unless you don't need any
printing until after your next IPL.

We have a twinax attached printer that we've ended (ENDWTR) but it still
has
a job hanging and that job has a lock on the printer device so we can't do
anything now with it (start it, change it, etc.).  I remember having this
same problem years ago and IBM gave me the name of a program to run
(passing
in the printer name as a parameter) to end the printer job that was
locking
the device.  Does anyone recall what this program is?
