I don't think that's it. Excel is invoked with: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\EXCEL.EXE so it must be on my local C: drive. With that in mind, I don't think there's any "enforcement" per se of defaulting the CA icon/toolbar in Excel. Is there anything else the PC build group can do to "force" this? >(btw, I'm sure he'll say "Oh it must be Client Access...:) ) Geez, how many times have I heard *that* one before?!?! Replace "Client Access" with "AS/400" or "iSeries". - Dan --- Evan Harris <spanner@ihug.co.nz> wrote: > Dan > > as a wild stab in the dark I don't suppose you are using a network > version > of Excel or your network guys are dong something to reset everything > to the > defaults ? > > One of the windows guys at my last place of work had a terrible habit > of > enforcing his opinions of how applications should be set up on > everyone > that had an account on "his" server. > > It might be worth asking your microsoft guy (btw, I'm sure he'll say > "Oh it > must be Client Access...:) ) > > Regards > Evan Harris __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
