Hi Dan, I didn't see this mentioned in any of the other replies -- what is your default Windows printer? If you start Acrobat, and the default Windows printer is an AS400 printer, it might be causing the problem you're seeing. OTOH, re the 2nd part of your post -- when you say Acrobat doesn't "stick", what Windows application is started when you double-click a .PDF file? Notepad? Something else? I'd suspect that application of hijacking the association; some Windows applications ask if you'd like them to be the default app for a particular file extension, and some apps may not ask. hth, Peter Dow Dow Software Services, Inc. 909 793-9050 voice 909 522-3214 cellular 909 793-4480 fax ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dan" <dbcemid@yahoo.com> Sent: Monday, November 25, 2002 10:17 AM Subject: Does Netsoft Router muck up Acrobat .PDF file association in Windows? Does Netsoft Router muck up Acrobat .PDF file association in Windows? Don't know if they're related. Everytime I start up Acrobat, the Netsoft router wants me to sign on to the AS/400!!! (We use CA for 5250 support.) I can cancel through it, but it's still an annoyance. Anyone dealt with this? Also, for some reason, I can't seem to make Adobe Acrobat PDF files "stick" to being associated with the Acrobat app; it seems to want to default to a text file type. I've never experienced this before. TIA, Dan __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable.
