Andy You get the same thing by butting a 'b' in the control field and repeatedly pressing ENTER. Also in SQL but not in the output from Query/400. James, A small point, but I remember doing a DSPPFM on a file which was having records added. By positioning to the end of file, then rolling up and back down, the new records were displayed as they were added. I don't have a way to test if this behavior is present on current systems, but I know that it used to be there.
