Go into SST and print the rack configuration for the system.  It will have
some symbols next to the device(s) that can be used as the alternate IPL
device.  The last page of the rack config will provide a legend to what the
symbols mean.

Check the Backup/Recovery guide for the specific instructions on recovering
from a SAVSTG tape.  There are some pretty stiff rules of engagement that
have to be met as well as the instructions for doing it.
